Just for a second.

Just for a second.

let me to not think,
just for a second.

let me be free,
of thoughts of future,
of what it holds,
dismal joys & missing laughs.

let me not,
be bound,in shackles of duty.

let me be free,
of memories,
haunting ones,
of 'coulds' and 'woulds'

let me feel,
my life to be,
just mine,
just for a second.

let me to not think,
just for a second.

postscript : Our lives are always ours alone. Even when we do something for others, sacrifice something of ours, we aren't really doing it for the sake of others; we do it for ourselves, to satisy our need to sacrifice something of ours, we find meaning in it, in forgoing things for others. Is the meaning right or wrong, is anybodys call. we sacrifice so we don't feel guilty later we didn't. 'How selfless is sacrifice really?' - think about it.

A different me & a different you.

A different me & a different you,
have read these lines before.
A different me & a different you,
have lived these lives before.

These hopes and wishes,have lived before,
in different hearts,mine & yours,
praying to different GODs,for different joys,
you for mine & me for yours.

A different me & a different you,
shared the same heartbeats..different lies, different lives,
A different me & a different you..
can we be the same?

A different me & a different you.

Don't tell me your worries, I've got enough of my own.

          I wonder if this is the unspoken law in human interactions. When we ask, "how are you?", do we really want to know how the other person is, or does it really mean "Everyone's got problems, Don't tell me your worries, I've got enough of my own. Just say ur fine, so I can live a lie"? If you think about it, that makes a lot of sense as to how people can live with so many problems in their lives. Mankind likes lies, it keeps us in our comfort zones. lies which make the day pass by easily, although at the back of our minds, we all know the truth. Thinking along the same lines, death would seem like the harsh truth in comparison to life's lie. No one can escape it, end result is the same for all..you're dead. Perhaps, that's the problem with men, we think too much!

          When we die, with us, do we have anything, except memories?

Wanderlust - Where are you?

the heart searches a place of contentment,
the mind mocks, 'flights of fantasy, it is'

'To be happy with no worries, can I not go there?"
"The world's your oyster, my friend,
bear in mind, not all oysters have pearls"

"All I need is a land to lay my head and rest on"
"All you get is a place to stand, to work on"

"Where do I go to find peace?"
"not outside, you can find it inside, if you look hard"

"I have searched, in vain but"
"not in vain, all searches are but steps to the answer"

"Perhaps, it's out there..the land I seek?"
"Contentment is within u, if u look"

"I need to find myself"
"Where are you, if not within your heart?"
